Position Overview:

We’re looking for a Health Assistant / Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our remote team starting August 9th. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for members, helping them understand their benefits, resolve concerns, and access the care they need. Ideal candidates are empathetic, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to inbound calls, emails, or chats from members regarding health insurance benefits and services
  • Explain complex healthcare benefits in simple, easy-to-understand terms
  • Guide members through claims, eligibility, provider searches, and plan details
  • Accurately document all customer interactions in the system
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to escalate and resolve issues
  • Maintain privacy and security of all member information (HIPAA compliance)
  • Deliver top-tier customer service with empathy, patience, and clarity
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus)
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare customer service or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech-savvy and able to navigate multiple software platforms at once
  • Ability to remain professional and calm in high-pressure situations
  • Home office setup with a reliable internet connection
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and healthcare terminology preferred
