Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Epic Application Analyst to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Epic modules within our partner healthcare systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring clinical workflows align with system capabilities while meeting compliance and usability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Epic system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects
- Provide advanced analysis, configuration, and support for Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Inpatient, or Resolute
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, business units, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into Epic solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes and optimizations
- Ensure Epic documentation, training materials, and workflow diagrams are current and comprehensive
- Conduct system testing and validation, including end-user testing support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, integration, and interoperability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of Epic application experience, including at least one Epic certification (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Resolute, or Willow)
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with SQL and data extraction tools for Epic reporting
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple Epic certifications or credentialed trainer experience
- Prior experience working in a healthcare provider or hospital system
- Familiarity with HL7 interfaces and healthcare integration standards
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and security best practices
