About the Role:
We are seeking an Epic Technical Specialist to join our healthcare IT team. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and support for Epic systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of applications used in healthcare environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Epic System Support: Provide technical expertise for Epic systems, including implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of issues related to Epic software.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular system monitoring and maintenance tasks, ensuring the Epic environment runs efficiently and securely.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to Epic applications.
- Configuration & Customization: Configure, customize, and support Epic modules to meet the specific needs of healthcare organizations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Epic users, project teams, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and functioning of Epic applications within the broader healthcare IT ecosystem.
- Training & Support: Provide technical training and guidance to end-users and team members.
- Upgrades & Patches: Plan and execute system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, customizations, and technical procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience working with Epic systems (EpicCare, Clarity, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Epic system configurations, integrations, and module support.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Epic applications.
- Experience with database management, SQL, and system performance tuning.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT standards (HL7, CCD, HIPAA, etc.).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Epic Certification in one or more Epic modules is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epic implementation and deployment in healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data integration technologies.
- Ability to mentor and train junior technical staff.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
