About the Role:
We’re seeking a talented and creative YouTube Scriptwriter who specializes in crafting compelling, personality-driven content for personal brands. You will work closely with entrepreneurs, influencers, coaches, or online educators to transform ideas, outlines, or briefs into captivating scripts that drive audience engagement and retention. Your writing should match the tone, energy, and storytelling style of each individual brand—whether that’s high-energy and funny, emotionally inspiring, or smart and educational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write engaging, structured scripts for YouTube videos (typically 5–12 minutes in length) that keep viewers watching through strong hooks, pacing, and storytelling
- Adapt to the voice and style of the client’s brand and audience (e.g., informative, entertaining, motivational, lifestyle, or business-focused)
- Collaborate with clients, producers, or strategists to interpret briefs, develop content calendars, and refine messaging
- Conduct light research or pull in relevant data, quotes, or examples to support script ideas when needed
- Include storytelling techniques, audience callouts, and CTAs that support video retention and growth
- Stay up to date with YouTube trends, formats, and creators to inspire fresh content ideas
- Revise scripts based on feedback and performance analytics
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience writing YouTube scripts or short-form video content (personal brand or influencer content preferred)
- Strong understanding of YouTube’s attention-grabbing formats: hook, story arc, pacing, retention, and end screens
- Excellent storytelling and conversational writing skills
- Ability to write in a variety of tones (e.g., Gen Z, professional, high-energy, emotional, comedic)
- Familiarity with Notion, Google Docs, Trello, or similar collaboration tools
- Ability to meet deadlines, take feedback constructively, and work autonomously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Portfolio of YouTube scripts or published videos you’ve written for (links appreciated)
- Background in marketing, personal development, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, or education
- Experience working directly with YouTube creators, agencies, or video editors
- Bonus: understanding of SEO, YouTube analytics, and thumbnail/title collaboration
