About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Staff AI Engineer to lead the design and deployment of scalable artificial intelligence systems that power our core products and data-driven decision-making. In this senior technical role, you will architect and build next-generation AI infrastructure, mentor engineering teams, and serve as a cross-functional thought leader across machine learning, data science, and software engineering.

If you are passionate about solving complex problems at scale, shaping long-term AI strategy, and bringing cutting-edge research into production, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize production-grade AI/ML systems across core product and platform areas
  • Serve as a hands-on technical lead and architect for AI initiatives, from data acquisition and model development to deployment and monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and research teams to translate business goals into scalable AI solutions
  • Define and advocate for best practices in ML engineering, including MLOps, model governance, and ethical AI
  • Guide and mentor junior and senior engineers across the organization
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and platforms to improve performance and scalability of AI infrastructure
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and AI strategy in partnership with leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field (PhD preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience developing machine learning systems in production environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or JAX
  • Strong software engineering skills, including API development, microservices, version control, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience deploying models to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using containerized or serverless architectures
  • Deep understanding of ML system lifecycle: data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and monitoring
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with generative AI (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models), computer vision, or NLP at scale
  • Familiarity with MLOps tooling (MLflow, TFX, Airflow, Sagemaker, Vertex AI)
  • Prior contributions to open-source ML projects or published research in AI
  • Background in responsible AI practices, model interpretability, and fairness

What We Offer:

  • A high-impact role at the intersection of innovation and real-world impact
  • The opportunity to lead and shape advanced AI systems across a rapidly evolving platform
  • Competitive salary, equity, and performance-based incentives
  • Flexible remote work options and a supportive, growth-focused team culture
  • Budget for conferences, continued learning, and cutting-edge tools
