We are seeking a highly motivated Healthcare AI/ML Engineer to join our mission-driven team focused on transforming healthcare through data-driven intelligence. In this role, you’ll develop and deploy scalable machine learning models that power diagnostics, predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and personalized care.

Working at the intersection of machine learning, health informatics, and software engineering, you’ll collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and product teams to build innovative, compliant, and impactful solutions that advance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, train, and deploy machine learning models using structured and unstructured healthcare data (e.g., EHRs, claims, imaging, genomics, patient-reported outcomes)
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and transforming large-scale medical datasets
  • Work with clinical experts to translate domain knowledge into ML features, labels, and model evaluation metrics
  • Develop production-ready ML services and APIs in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate models into digital health platforms
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, GDPR) for medical data and ML usage
  • Stay current on research and best practices in medical AI, deep learning, and real-world evidence analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in applied machine learning, with hands-on experience in healthcare or life sciences data
  • Proficient in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or XGBoost
  • Strong experience with SQL and data engineering for large healthcare datasets (e.g., FHIR, HL7, OMOP)
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and workflows (e.g., MLflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of data privacy, anonymization, and ethical AI in a healthcare context

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical imaging (DICOM, radiomics), natural language processing (clinical notes), or time-series data (ICU/monitoring data)
  • Knowledge of clinical ontologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10)
  • Prior work with healthcare regulatory frameworks or medical device software
  • Publications or contributions to research in medical AI or digital health

What We Offer:

  • An opportunity to build AI that directly impacts healthcare delivery and patient lives
  • Access to unique health data sets, modern cloud infrastructure, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexible working arrangements and remote-friendly culture
  • Competitive salary, stock options, and wellness-focused benefits
  • Support for continued learning, conferences, and career development
