About the Role:
We are seeking a data-driven and mission-oriented Health Data Analyst to join our healthcare analytics or public health insights team. In this role, you will analyze clinical, operational, or population health data to inform decision-making, improve health outcomes, and support evidence-based policy or care models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data models, dashboards, and reports that address critical health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze healthcare or public health data from EMRs, claims, registries, or surveys
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor key health metrics such as patient outcomes, quality of care, utilization, access, or population trends
- Conduct statistical analyses to support program evaluations, health interventions, and quality improvement projects
- Partner with clinicians, researchers, program managers, or policymakers to provide data-driven insights
- Ensure data integrity, compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and accuracy in health data processing and reporting
- Present findings in clear, accessible formats for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support grant reporting, performance metrics, and community health needs assessments as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Data Analytics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience working with healthcare or public health data
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, or SPSS)
- Strong understanding of health KPIs, outcomes measurement, or population health metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with health data systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts), claims databases, or CDC/NHS surveys
- Experience working with health equity, SDOH, Medicaid/Medicare, or quality improvement data
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as HIPAA, HEDIS, UDS, or NCQA measures
- Experience in academic, nonprofit, or government health research environments
