About the Role:
We are seeking a data-savvy and globally minded Data Analyst to join our International Trade team. This role is focused on analyzing trade flows, tariffs, customs data, import/export regulations, and global market trends to support strategic decision-making across operations, logistics, and compliance functions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and data-driven global trade activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze international trade data (e.g., import/export volumes, tariffs, duties, HS codes) from various internal and public sources (e.g., UN Comtrade, WTO, customs databases)
- Monitor and report on global trade trends, supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, and market developments
- Build dashboards and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to trade operations, costs, and risks
- Collaborate with global logistics, procurement, legal, and compliance teams to support trade optimization and risk mitigation initiatives
- Analyze the financial and operational impact of trade policy changes, tariffs, and duties
- Assist in classification reviews and audits by preparing structured, validated datasets
- Document methodologies and maintain a repository of international trade metrics and sources
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, International Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in international trade, logistics, or compliance
- Proficient in Excel and SQL; experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Familiarity with trade data sources and classification systems (e.g., HS codes, HTS, ECCN)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret regulatory or technical data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, or global supply chain teams
- Knowledge of trade compliance software or ERPs (SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, Amber Road, etc.)
- Understanding of international trade policies (e.g., WTO rules, trade agreements, sanctions, Incoterms)
