About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about authentic Indian cuisine, with a mastery of traditional recipes, spices, and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a wide variety of Indian dishes (North, South, or regional)
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Manage kitchen inventory, sourcing spices and ingredients as needed
- Innovate with seasonal menus or custom dining experiences
- Lead or support a small kitchen team, if required
- Cater to dietary restrictions, religious preferences, or guest customization
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and plating
- Ability to manage prep and service independently or with a team
- Fluent in Hindi or English (or both); other regional languages a plus
- Culinary degree or formal training (preferred but not mandatory)
Preferred Experience:
- Worked in a 4–5 star hotel, fine-dining Indian restaurant, or private household
- Experience with tandoor ovens, biryani, dosa, or Indian sweets
- Ability to plan weekly menus and budget ingredients
