What you’ll do
We’re seeking an employment attorney to advise our People team and other business partners in all areas of employment law, proactively manage potential employment-related risks, and help scale our team.
Responsibilities
• partner with our People team to provide day-to-day advice on a range of employment issues including recruiting, hiring, performance management, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, internal investigations, working time, employee data privacy, and HR best practices;
• proactively review employment policies to ensure legal compliance and consistency with best practices;
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and maintain employment compliance;
• support cross-functional stakeholders on a range of strategic global projects.
Who you are

Minimum requirements
• at least 10 years of employment law experience at a leading law firm and in-house legal department, with demonstrated employment counseling experience (in-house experience is required);
• a proven ability to exercise sound judgment in balancing legal risks and business needs;
• excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• strong organization and project management skills with the ability to work well on both long and short-term projects;
• US employee data privacy experience and/or experience advising regarding Canada/LATAM (not required, but a plus).

Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $215,200 – $303,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
