Job Description:
As a Data Entry/Claims Specialist, you will support departmental and enterprise initiatives while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. This role involves applying critical thinking to manage data across multiple platforms and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. You will be responsible for managing member-level records, confirming eligibility, and making both routine and non-routine decisions with discretion. You will need to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute to excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports and promotes change management and departmental initiatives
- Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards
- Delivers routine work independently, adhering to procedures and meeting deadlines
- Makes decisions within the scope of the role, following established guidelines
- Determines eligibility and confirms effective dates for benefit elections
- Leverages critical thinking to modify member records across multiple platforms
- Maintains accurate member records by verifying key data points (e.g., dates, names, salary figures)
- Applies policy provisions to determine necessary record changes
- Considers customer needs and ensures flexibility and responsiveness in actions
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (Minimum required)
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under stress and manage critical situations
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
