Position Overview:
As a Bookkeeper for Property Investment & Management Business, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for our portfolio of properties. Your duties will include maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. The role will be remote and part-time, offering flexibility to balance work and personal life.
You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with management to ensure that all financial aspects of property operations are organized and compliant with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial transactions, including recording income and expenses related to property management
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all property-related financial records
- Process property-related invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Track and report on rental income, property expenses, and investments
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Generate reports on property performance, cash flow, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations
- Liaise with property managers and accountants to ensure accurate reporting
- Provide financial data to management for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Assist with tax preparation and filings, working with external accountants as needed

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within property investment or real estate management
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and property management
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with property management terminology and processes is a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (not required)
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in property investment/management)
