We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Backend Engineer (Platform and Data) to join our growing engineering team. • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support our platform and data solutions.
• Data Engineering: Work on data processing pipelines, integrating data from various sources, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data storage and retrieval.
• Platform Optimization: Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of the platform by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, front-end, and DevOps engineers) to design and implement robust features and technical solutions.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) to optimize infrastructure and ensure systems run smoothly at scale.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, while adhering to best practices and ensuring high code quality standards.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in backend development and data engineering, applying new tools and methodologies as appropriate.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges as they arise.

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in backend development, data engineering, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing scalable backend solutions
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and frameworks (ETL, data pipelines, Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
  • Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Understanding of API development, RESTful APIs, and web services
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with event-driven architectures
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Knowledge of data processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, Apache Beam)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
