We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist focused on medical collections to support our billing and recovery processes. This is a vital role within our RCM team, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up on outstanding claims and patient balances.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up on unpaid claims via phone calls, portals, and emails to insurance companies and patients
- Analyze accounts receivable (A/R) reports and identify aging claims
- Resolve denials and underpayments through appeals or resubmissions
- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to clarify claim issues
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities in the billing system
- Meet daily and monthly collection targets and maintain productivity benchmarks
✅ Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical billing/collections or RCM environment
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing cycles, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and EOBs
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHRs)
