Job Summary:
USA WINZONS is actively hiring a Level 5 Software Development Engineer to join our Open Data Analytics Engines team. This role is ideal for experienced engineers passionate about building scalable and performant data analytics engines using open-source technologies. You’ll be working on cutting-edge distributed systems, driving innovations that impact data infrastructure on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy core components of open-source data analytics engines
- Collaborate with other engineers to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Contribute to the architecture of high-performance distributed systems
- Participate in open-source communities and help evolve the ecosystem
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in data engineering or distributed systems
- Proficient in languages like Java, C++, or Rust
- Strong understanding of data analytics engines (e.g., Apache Spark, Presto, Trino, ClickHouse)
- Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design
- Experience working with large-scale systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Contributions to open-source analytics or database engines
- Familiarity with query optimization, SQL engines, or compiler theory
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
