About the Role:

Wellesley College is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented College Government Financial Administrator to support and oversee the financial operations of student organizations and the College Government (CG) body. This role ensures fiscal compliance, efficient budget management, and supports student-led initiatives by streamlining financial processes and enhancing financial literacy among student leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee CG and student organization budgets, transactions, and reimbursements
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with college fiscal policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and training to student government treasurers and club leaders on budgeting and financial best practices
  • Liaise with the Office of Student Involvement, Finance, and Procurement teams to process financial documents
  • Track spending, reconcile accounts, and prepare regular financial reports for student leadership and college administrators
  • Assist in the annual allocation and reallocation of funds across student organizations
  • Maintain records for audits and end-of-year financial reporting
  • Support financial planning for student-led events and activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in budgeting, financial operations, or accounting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., Workday, QuickBooks, or similar platforms)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in higher education or nonprofit finance
  • Familiarity with student government or campus activities financial oversight
  • Understanding of compliance, auditing, and institutional financial policies
