We are currently looking for an Inclusive Workforce Development Coordinator (Contractual) to drive impactful diversity and inclusion programs and services for the school district’s staff and broader community.

Position Overview:
As an Inclusive Workforce Development Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and implement workforce development initiatives with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity. You will work closely with school administrators, HR professionals, and community stakeholders to create a supportive and diverse environment for employees at Baltimore County Public Schools.
This is a contractual, full-time position that requires a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for workforce development programs aimed at fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce.
- Collaborate with human resources, department heads, and administrators to integrate diversity and inclusion practices into all recruitment, retention, and employee development programs.
- Create and maintain reporting systems to track the progress of diversity initiatives and their impact on the workforce.
- Coordinate training and workshops on diversity, equity, and inclusion for staff members.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to school administrators on best practices for inclusive workforce strategies.
- Identify and address barriers to equal opportunities for underrepresented groups within the workforce.
- Serve as the liaison between Baltimore County Public Schools and community-based organizations focused on workforce development and inclusivity.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in diversity and inclusion and workforce development.
- Work on community outreach initiatives to build stronger relationships with diverse populations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Previous experience in workforce development, human resources, or diversity and inclusion roles.
- Strong knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, particularly in the public sector.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to implement strategies for improving diversity in the workforce.
- Passion for creating inclusive educational environments and promoting equal opportunities for all employees.
