Position Overview:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), your mission will be to help drive growth by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business opportunities. Leveraging the skills and work ethic you’ve developed as a former athlete or veteran, you’ll work closely with our sales and marketing teams to generate leads and build strong client relationships. This is an ideal role for individuals who are goal-oriented, resilient, and eager to develop their career in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Qualify inbound leads and schedule meetings with potential clients for senior sales staff.
- Conduct thorough research to understand prospects’ needs and tailor outreach accordingly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies and messaging.
- Track and manage sales leads and activities using the CRM system.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients to foster trust and loyalty.
- Meet and exceed performance targets related to outreach, appointments, and lead generation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and product knowledge to have informed conversations with prospects.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a former athlete or veteran is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service (internship experience is also welcome).
- Strong communication skills with an ability to engage prospects and build relationships.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-driven, and resilient with a competitive spirit.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- A passion for learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
