About the Role:
As a Desk Side Analyst, you will provide end-user support for hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality for all IT systems. You will be the primary point of contact for technical issues, providing quick resolutions, troubleshooting support, and acting as a liaison between end-users and IT departments. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Incident Management: Respond to service requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that issues are addressed and resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices (printers, monitors, etc.) for end users.
  • User Training: Provide end-user training on software, hardware, and IT best practices, ensuring users can make the most of their systems and tools.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, virus scans, and system backups, ensuring systems remain up-to-date and secure.
  • Documentation: Document service requests, resolutions, and system configurations in the IT service management system, ensuring detailed records are kept for future reference.
  • Escalation Support: Collaborate with IT departments to escalate complex technical issues that require higher-level expertise.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all end-users are satisfied with the quality and efficiency of the technical support provided.
  • Hardware Repairs: Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including replacing faulty components, ensuring that systems are functioning properly.
  • Asset Management: Assist in tracking and managing hardware assets, ensuring inventory is maintained and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a desk-side or desktop support role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in supporting operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Experience with software installations, system upgrades, and configuring peripherals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Customer-focused with a strong emphasis on providing high-quality support.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices (preferred).
