Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Client Director – AWS to lead strategic client relationships and drive growth within our AWS cloud services portfolio. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to key accounts, managing C-level relationships and orchestrating high-value solutions that leverage AWS technologies.
This is a remote role with occasional travel for client meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise clients using AWS services
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive-level stakeholders
- Develop and execute account plans that drive revenue growth and long-term partnership
- Collaborate with cloud architects, solution engineers, and delivery teams to create tailored AWS solutions
- Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity discovery to deal closure
- Represent the voice of the customer internally to ensure satisfaction and solution alignment
- Stay current with AWS product releases, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Drive renewals, upsells, and customer success metrics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT sales or cloud consulting, with at least 3 years focused on AWS
- Deep knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and the AWS ecosystem
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales targets
- Exceptional relationship-building and executive communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
- Comfortable engaging with C-level executives and navigating complex sales cycles
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect) are a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or for a certified AWS Partner
- Knowledge of cloud financial modeling and TCO/ROI analysis
- Familiarity with DevOps, cloud security, and compliance frameworks
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
