About the Role

We are looking for a Lead ML Engineer to join the Meraki Assurance team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of intelligent networking. You will lead the design and deployment of machine learning models that improve performance, reliability, and visibility across large-scale network infrastructures.

This is a remote position available anywhere in the U.S., offering the flexibility to work from wherever you thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models focused on network diagnostics, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics
  • Lead architectural decisions and guide junior engineers on ML best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, product, UX, and network engineers)
  • Implement A/B testing, model monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows
  • Leverage large-scale telemetry data to generate insights and optimize user experiences
  • Stay current with ML research, tools, and technologies; evaluate and integrate new approaches
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • 6+ years of industry experience in building and deploying ML systems
  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, time series forecasting, and anomaly detection
  • Proven track record of leading complex technical projects
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in network systems or infrastructure monitoring
  • Familiarity with data engineering pipelines (e.g., Airflow, Spark, BigQuery)
  • Exposure to reinforcement learning or deep learning applications
  • Contributions to open-source ML/AI projects
