Our Texas-based law firm is seeking a detail-oriented freelancer to assist with retrieving court records, entering data into Excel, and performing mail merges in Word. This work will help us send legal correspondence to individuals involved in credit card and loan lawsuits.
Scope of Work:

Pull court records for credit card and loan lawsuits from Justice, County, and District Courts in counties surrounding major cities in Texas.
β
Focus on recent judgments (cases where a judgment has been rendered).
β
Input case details (defendant name, case number, court, judgment date, creditor name, amount, etc.) into an Excel spreadsheet.
β
Use Wordβs mail merge feature to generate legal letters using a provided template.
β
Deliver completed files twice weekly for in-house printing and mailing.
Requirements:
π Experience with legal research or court record retrieval (preferred but not required).
π Proficiency in Excel & Word mail merge is required.
π Strong attention to detail β all data must be accurately recorded and formatted.
π Reliability & ability to meet deadlines β we need twice-weekly submissions.
π Familiarity with Texas court websites is a plus.
Ideal Candidate:
β Legal virtual assistant, paralegal, or data entry specialist with experience in court record retrieval.
β Comfortable searching and extracting case details from Texas court systems.
β Able to work efficiently and accurately on a recurring basis.
β Open to a long-term working relationship.
