We are looking for a Part-Time Center Associate to join our team at The UPS Store. In this customer-facing role, you will provide exceptional service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries while operating various office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and laminating devices. You will advise customers on products and services, offering best-value solutions while ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
This position is ideal for individuals with retail sales experience, strong computer skills, and a friendly, helpful demeanor. You will be a fast learner, excited to gain expertise in all aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding customer service both in-person and over the phone, ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
- Product & Service Knowledge: Continuously expand your knowledge of our products, services, and industry trends to offer the best solutions.
- Operations Mastery: Operate equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and laminating machines proficiently; be willing to teach others.
- Sales & Advice: Take ownership of customer shipping needs, offering tailored solutions for their requirements.
- Workplace Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and safe for both customers and team members.
- Collaboration: Practice good communication and collaboration skills with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Computer Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and other basic computer applications.
- Phone Skills: Outstanding telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication, including spelling and basic math.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40+ pounds and perform various tasks throughout the day.
- Work Schedule: Available to work 25 to 30 hours per week across a 5-day workweek.
