Kearney & Company is seeking a Financial Operations SME to join the team! The successful candidate will join a cross-functional team that supports Financial Management CIO.
Responsibilities:
• Provide senior-level draft presentations related to Data Management work or any other ad-hoc task assign to team.
• Take detailed meeting notes for meetings with stakeholders outside SAF/FMFS Data Management team.
• Perform follow-up activities with stakeholders to ensure any Data Management findings/recommendations have been addressed and/or implemented.
• Prepare, update, and provide weekly/monthly status updates on Data Management tasks.
• Participate and represent Chief Data Office in data acquisition and development meetings.
• Collecting and tracking FM wide initiatives for prioritization and implementation.
• Manage task/project plan: prioritize activities, meet established deadlines, work closely with the client and contractor team, seek out and provide value-added services.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must possess Secret clearance or higher
• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial operations, audit remediation, or financial management in a government or defense setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness) requirements, the CFO Act, and NDAA audit mandates.
• Strong understanding of DoD Financial Management Systems and data governance frameworks.
• Experience working with CRIS datasets and financial reconciliation processes, particularly UoT reconciliations.
• Knowledge of SFIS compliance requirements and data validation best practices.
• Proven ability to lead organizational change management initiatives, particularly in onboarding and training users in financial systems.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

The expected salary range for this position is between $103k and $180k. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
