We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.Job Duties:.Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners .Type in data provided directly from customers .Verify data by comparing it to source documents .Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes .Update existing data .Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested .Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation .Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lostRequirements .Proven experience as data entry clerk .Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred .Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices .Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.) .Basic understanding of databases .Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills .Great attention to detail .High school degree or equivalentExperience: .Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred) .Call Center: 1 year (Preferred) .Data Entry: 1 year (Preferred)Requirements.Proven customer support experience .Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening .Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters .Excellent communication and presentation skills .Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively .High school diploma or equivalent Certified – 60 College Credit Hours and/or FL Educator Certification Non-Certified – High School Diploma or GED BenefitsInsurance after 60 days of employment (Health, Dental, Vision, & Life)7 Paid Holidays after 90 days401K after 6 months with partial company matchingCompany Paid Life InsurancePTO begins accruing on the first day of employment, and is available for use after the 90 day employment anniversary.PTO days are accrued as follows:Your first and second year you will accrue 10 days per year.
