Remote – Anywhere in the U.S.

Prior Authorization Pharmacist Compensation: $53.00 – $56.00 p/hr based on licensure, experience and certifications

Prior Authorization Pharmacist Hours:
• 8 hours per day 40 hours per week with possible weekends and OT

What does the Prior Authorization Pharmacist do?

This position is responsible for reviewing and completing criteria based on prior authorization as per policy and procedure.
• Answer phone lines promptly with priority on ‘Pharmacist’ line and escalated calls. Serves as the final decision-maker on all PA denials. Works distributed faxes. Maintains accurate documentation of calls.
• Works all client exceptions.
• Maintains and updates all desk references materials.
• Assures the proper processing and maintenance of all PA paperwork.
• Attends on going training and development meetings.

Prior Authorization Pharmacist requirements?
• PBM – Prior Authorization experience required
• Call Center experience or high volume calls experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree Required, Pharm D
• Must have active Pharmacist license with no restrictions in the state you reside in – required
