We are a well-established construction company seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC Field Technician to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned HVAC professional with a thorough understanding of various systems including Split Systems, RTU’s, and VRF. A clean driving record is mandatory as this role involves traveling to different job sites. The HVAC Field Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our company’s high standard of service.
Responsibilities
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including Split Systems, RTU’s, and VRF, ensuring they are operating correctly and efficiently.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC systems, identifying problems and determining the best solutions.
• Conducting regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Monitoring HVAC systems and operations, and ensuring that routine preventative maintenance is performed according to established schedules.
• Driving to various job sites to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Responding to emergency call-outs for HVAC system breakdowns.
• Maintaining accurate records of all service work performed and providing detailed reports to the management.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician or a similar role in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including Split Systems, RTU’s, and VRF.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
• Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
• Certification through the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) or HVAC Excellence is a plus.
