As the Assistant Operations Manager at Balboa Park Hotel, you will support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring that all departments function smoothly. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams to maintain high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Assist in managing and leading hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
  • Guest Relations: Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with hotel standards and policies.
  • Staff Training: Assist in training and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Budget Management: Support the Operations Manager in managing budgets, expenses, and financial records.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the hotel complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel management role is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is a plus.
