Job Description:
As the Deputy General Manager at Balboa Park Hotel, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in all aspects of hotel management. This includes overseeing staff, managing guest services, and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Assist in managing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service, ensuring all departments function efficiently.
- Guest Services: Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
- Financial Management: Assist in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company policies, local laws, and safety regulations.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and implement improvement strategies as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hotel management or a similar hospitality role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
