The Opportunity:
The Data Scientist/Sr. Data Scientist role will report to Credibly’s Lead Data Scientist, and will be responsible for executing the development and implementation of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to drive efficiency and improved performance across all aspects of the business.
The successful candidate will be a business-oriented, collaborative, high-energy data scientist who is passionate about leveraging automated machine learning technology to solve real-world problems.
What You Will Do:
• Collaborate with the business to execute on identified opportunities for deploying machine learning and AI solutions to drive revenue and cost savings.
• Frame, prepare data for, develop, and document ML and AI models and solutions.
• Partner with the Technology team to test and deploy ML and AI solutions, and in monitoring and managing the health and performance of those solutions in production.
• Explore and test additional data sources that may add value.
• Consult the technical literature or adopt new software when necessary to design and implement novel solutions to business problems.
• Execute simulation and analytics projects.
Who You Are:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, or physics.
• Minimum 2.5 years of experience as a data scientist in industry, including developing machine learning models and implementing them into production.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and open-source machine learning packages, like xgboost.
• Experience with or desire to learn new automated machine learning and related software.
• Flexible and productive in a hybrid remote/in-office arrangement.
What Makes You Special:
• Masters Degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, or physics.
• Experience in banking or insurance.
• Experience developing credit risk models strongly preferred.
• Experience working with external Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
