Job Description:
Requirements
• Survey existing environments to identify OS dependencies and compatibility concerns
• Assist, support, and drive application teams for transition of their apps and data to the target OS
• Schedule and execute OS transitions for systems and applications (both commercial and home-grown) as directed by Marvell
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with in-house engineering tools as reported by end users
• Download and build newer versions of legacy open-source tools and confirm proper operation on target OS
Skills Required
We are looking for two individuals. One more seasoned having broad experience with a variety of database and web services/applications. Another less experienced resource can be guided the senior resource to execute task-level assignments. Much of the direct communication with Marvell will take place during PST business hours.
Important skills:
• Reasonable proficiency speaking, understanding, writing, and reading English
• Experience compiling/working with source code (open source and in-house) and troubleshooting/resolving runtime issues
• Experience with a variety of scripting languages: Python, Perl, Unix shell
• Intermediate+ Unix system administration skills
Additional desirable experience:
o Working with EDA tools
o HPC compute grids
o Linux VDI environments (OpenText Exceed TurboX)
