As a Data Scientist at IDPrivacy, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing advanced analytic solutions that address privacy concerns within the advertising technology ecosystem. You will contribute towards building privacy first solutions for critical components of the online advertising ecosystem. This role involves close collaboration with the development and support teams to integrate sophisticated data models and analytics into our privacy-first advertising platforms. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in reshaping the future of digital advertising, ensuring our platforms are privacy-preserving and setting new industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborative Analytics Development:

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including support and development, to understand client data needs and translate them into analytic strategies. You will design, develop, and implement data models and algorithms to address complex business challenges related to privacy-preserving advertising technologies.

Advanced Data Analysis:
• Conduct advanced data analysis, including machine learning, regression analysis, decision trees, and NLP, to drive business insights and enhance decision-making processes.
• Define and optimize data requirements for analytic and advertising solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives.

Model Deployment and Integration:
• Lead the deployment of data models into operational systems, collaborating with development teams to integrate these models seamlessly into the end-to-end business intelligence solutions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support the integration of advanced analytics into frontend applications.

Privacy-Centric Innovation:
• Stay updated with emerging technologies in data science and analytics, evaluating new opportunities for innovation within the privacy-focused advertising space.
• Design, evaluate and implement new solutions that promise user privacy while also maintaining business objectives.
• Ensure all data processes and models adhere to the highest standards of privacy and data protection.

Documentation and Communication:
• Document the development process, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Translate complex data science results into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers, ensuring alignment with IDPrivacy’s privacy-first mission.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

OR
• 2+ years of professional or research experience in data science, particularly within advertising technology, privacy-centric solutions, or related fields, with a focus on machine learning, large-scale data analysis, and model validation.
• Working knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in R/Python, with strong experience in libraries such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and pandas for machine learning and data analysis.
• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop/Spark, Map/Reduce, and Hive.
• Familiarity with backend technologies and RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration with server-side logic.

Preferred skills but not required:
• Experience with community detection, audience segmentation, and recommendation algorithms.
• Prior research or work experience in online privacy, federated learning and differential privacy.

Core Competencies:
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data mining objectives to business outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and privacy-preserving technologies.

Other Requirements:
• Must have valid US identification for full-time roles.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background screen test.

Compensation:

Commensurate with skill level and geographical location.

Position Type:

Contract with the option for full-time based on location.
