Job Description
As a Full Stack (Front-End focus) Software Engineer Technical Lead, you’ll have a passion for architecting and developing elegant, performant, responsive user experiences that drive customer satisfaction. Your background includes developing API services for websites, partners, and mobile apps. You will work in a supportive culture with other incredibly talented and intelligent people, creating new product offerings that combine software, hardware, and firmware to create game-changing solutions in the renewables industry.
The person in this role will be responsible for building experiences that help customers manage their Torus renewable energy system. As a Tech Lead, you’ll interact with our customers to better understand their needs and improve their Torus experience. You’ll work with an amazing team of designers, software engineers, and data science engineers to help build customer experiences that delight.

Experience You’ll Need
Progressive growth and increased responsibility in a professional software engineering role(s) will set you up for success in this position. Also, experience as a tech lead, mentor or similar collaboration and teaching responsibilities are required. Your experience includes a deep portfolio of results in multiple complex environments each resulting in commercially successful deliveries.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
• Strong pair programming, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Experience with participating in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design iteration, coding, testing, deployments, and debugging.
• Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot / debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience writing automated tests with frameworks like Jest.
• Cloud service experience with AWS services like Lambda, CDK, API Gateway, IoT Core.
• Deep experience architecting and delivering user friendly, accessible, and responsive web and mobile interfaces using modern front end technologies (e.g. React.js)
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, TypeScript.
• Experience implementing responsive designs with cross-browser compatibility across all device sizes.
• Effectively use and contribute to the Torus Component Library to increase consistency and scalability in the software experience.

Working Location Information
The role is remote based in the US and requires occasional onsite work in Springville and/or South Salt Lake warehouse locations (air-conditioned and non air-conditioned).

• Must report to work with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
• Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
