What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Read and decipher customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via catalog, and online
• Enter data accurately into specific Microsoft Excel fields and other source documents
• Verify the accuracy of data before entry and ensure consistency throughout the system
• Report any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor
• Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for approximately three hours per day
What Is Required (Qualifications)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain patience for repetitive work
• Commitment to keeping accurate and updated logs of ongoing work
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Reading knowledge of English and Spanish (about 5 to 10 percent of orders are in Spanish)
• 1-2 years of experience with data entry and/or filing
• Strong social perceptiveness and service orientation
